1 päivä enää...

Oon facebookissa jutellu mun isäntäperheen sille vanhemmalle pojalle ja kyselly kaikkea mahdollista ja yrittäny samalla tutustua.

Perheen isä on kuulema tosi hyvä laittamaan ruokaa, joten ootan mielenkiinnolla millasta ruokaa siel saan.

ESTA

ESTA eli Electronic System for Travel Authorization on vähän niinkun viisumi mun käsittääkseni.

Host Family!

Wsup!?

So I decided to write this post in English. Got no particular reason for writing this post this way... guess I can compare my English skills before and after California and be ashamed of all my mistakes... So let´s just pretend that all those fails here are just typing errors right? Good! And now let´s start!

Guess it happened last week when almost all my course mates got their host families... Only me and one girl were without a family. I called EF and they told that they are probably just looking for a suitable roommate for me... Anyway a day after that day I got my host family! Pretty good service huh? I checked out their house and it was huge! They had a swimming pool and the house looked like a little mansion. I messaged my host mum-to-be and she answered quite quickly. She told that she ain´t my host mum. I was a bit shocked and thought that I still don´t have a family. She however explained that she will be hosting me for a few days while my original host family is on holiday. She was really nice to me and answered to all my questions.

Then one day when I logged on to myEF I saw that my family had changed. Well I messaged them as I figured out that they are my original family quite surely. And I was right about that. There would be a couple and their 3 kids + a cat and 2 dogs in my family! They also have a swimming pool which I´m so grateful of (last year I fell in a pool with my phone and wallet!). According to google maps they live just about 17minutes away from EF school in Simi Valley
(time taken without any traffic). My roommate will be from France and I think it´s really cool to have somebody who isn´t from the Nordic Countries!

And apparently I´ll be staying with this "new" family the whole time and I´m happy about that!
